Rusty is a 1973 graduate of Baylor University where he was a four year letterman in football. After graduation, Rusty worked for local CPA firms in Waco, Tyler and Houston until 1978 when he joined Henry & Peters. In 1984, he was elected Officer/Shareholder and in 1999 was awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation by the American Institute of CPA's. In 2008, Rusty was also awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designation. His practice focus is in business valuation, litigation support, income taxation (individuals, estates/trusts, partnerships, and corporations), gift & estate planning and small business consulting. Rusty assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, damages and lost profits calculation, divorce property settlements and other valuation and litigation related issues. Rusty is a member of the AICPA and TSCPA and is active or has been involved with the following organizations: Past President of East Texas Estate Planning Council, and member of the Institute of Business Appraisers. Rusty also is currently on the Finance Committee at First Baptist Church in Tyler. Rusty is married to Donna, who is the principal at Birdwell Elementary in Tyler. Rusty and Donna have three grown children – Audra, Zach, and Scott. Highest among activities they enjoy is their visits with their granddaughter, Caelyn. |
