Requirements:
- Degree in accounting
- 5- 7 years of experience in multiple industry background or public accounting
- CPA preferred
- QB ProAdvisor preferred

Duties/Areas of Knowledge:
- Provide consulting services in the design and installation of accounting recordkeeping systems and the training of users of such systems.
- Remain current on QuickBooks software enhancements, form changes and tax law changes affecting payroll tax, sales tax and property tax, and compilation and review services.
- Promote H&P for solicitation of new clients and additional services to existing clients.
- Visit clients as time allows to discuss services provided and changes needed in those services – ensure client satisfaction.
- Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and 1099 processing, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Processing and Payroll tax returns, Inventory, Sales Tax returns and Property Tax renditions.
- Perform year-end closeouts of books at client’s offices as needed.
- Provide training and support for Henry & Peters’ staff relating to accounting solutions services.
CPE:
Continuing education will be in more advanced areas of accounting solutions and may include an emphasis in certain industries.- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in public accounting
- CPA certification preferred or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam
- Ability to apply analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Team orientated and strong interpersonal skills
- Capable of thinking independently and performing engagements with minimal supervision
- Strong project management skills and Capable of serving as the “in-charge” accountant on engagements
- Focused on developing technical skills and is committed to continuous performance improvement
- Identify client growth opportunities with existing and new referrals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe
- Ability to research technical tax and accounting issues using common accounting research tools
- Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn and utilize Trial balance and Tax preparation software packages (i.e., Engagement, CCH, Lacerte)
- QuickBooks experience required for Accounting Solutions
- Serve as in-charge on client engagements including client communication, information coordination and technical review of work
- Preparation and review expertise for all types of tax returns (including individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations)
- Appropriately research tax issues and questions providing recommendations for resolution
- Train and develop staff and senior associates through review of work and feedback
- Function as in-charge for large client groups and returns including coordination of planning meetings with client and officer
- Develop plan for audit procedures necessary to meet engagement objectives
- Oversee fieldwork is conducted effectively and efficiently
- Supervise audit staff and senior associates in completion of audit procedures
- Review and prepare financial statements and required reports
- Complete administrative requirements
- Communicate professionally with client and staff
- Recognize potential problem areas and propose solutions
- Serve as in-charge on client engagements including client communication, information coordination and technical review of works
- Supervise and train staff and senior associates

- Review or prepare complicated payrolls including bonus
- Review or prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports to all federal and state agencies as well as employees.

- Support managers with consulting projects, problems and trouble shooting.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in public accounting in a related area
- CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam

- Post journal entries
